THE EPICUREAN MANTONS CREEK producES the highest quality maritime, cool climate wines made entirely from estate grown Mornington Peninsula fruit.



The Vineyard at Mantons Creek Estate was planted in 1994 and features eight varietals. We have a sensible, sustainable viticulture approach, producing small amounts of super-premium fruit using no herbicides or insecticides. The vines are hand pruned and harvested and have been dry-grown since 2009.

The Winery operates with minimal input and maximum care to allow the terroir to express itself. Each harvests is hand sorted and plunged with minimal fining and filtering.


2010 Manton’s Creek Sparkling Glass $12 Bottle $50
A blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from the 2010 vintage, which yielded grapes od such quality that a vintage method Champenoise was produced. Hand-harvested, gently whole bunch pressed and fermented slow at low temperatures. Tirage and re-fermentation in July 2010 followed by 5 years ageing on lees, in a bottle you are holding. An extremely special cuvee for extremely special occasion.

Ruby red grapefruit, Tahitian Lime and Musk stick candy, a soft mid palate and long citrus finish.

2015 Manton’s Creek Sauvignon Glass $10 Bottle $35
The vines are situated on the northern end of the Cellar Door Block. Sandwiched between two rows of sentinel pines this block is cool and protected, producing gooseberry, grass and light tropicals with stunning mineral acid. After gentle whole-bunch pressing and overnight settling, the juice is fermented cool and slow in stainless steel tanks. The wine is filtered and bottled young to maintain freshness. Drink now.

2015 Manton’s Creek Maggie’s Paddock Glass $10 Bottle $35
Annually unique blend of estate grown white varietals, the 2015 vintage is 38% Gewürztraminer/ 62% Pinot Grigio. Gentle whole-bunch pressing, a long settling to achieve the juice clarity was followed by an extremely cool and slow ferment in stainless steel tank. The wine has sweet aromas of rosewater, lychee and grapefruit but is bone-dry on the pallet, perfect for a summers evening.

2015 Manton’s Creek Pinot Grigio Glass $10 Bottle $30
The vines are located at the highest elevation atop of Heartbreak Hill, names because the rows are so long you cannot see the far end, making tasks such as pruning and disbudding ‘heartbreaking. The site produces ‘classic; Peninsula Pinot Grigio with apple, nashi pear, fig, crisp acid and wonderful texture that is perfect with food. Whole bunch pressed to tank, with fermentation at a moderate temperature. The wine is filtered and bottles young to maintain freshness. Drink now.

2015 Manton’s Creek Chardonnay Glass $11 Bottle $40
Coming from the north end of the Hillside Block, wide open to sun and wind these low yielding vines produce intense flavours and aromas of citrus and white peach/nectarine with mineral acid structure providing great potential for aging. Very gently whole-bunch pressed straight to new and neutral French barriques, fermentation with indigenous yeast, minimal malolactic decarboxylation, aged and stirred on lees for 10 months. This treatment in the winery builds complexity, texture and ageing potential. Cellaring up to 10 years.

Intense currant, cherry and plum; with tarry spice and stalk overtones, loads of fine tannin create a long finish of cherry and oak spice.

2015 Manton’s Humphrey’s Shiraz Glass $12 Bottle $40
We are privileged to have access to a wonderful vineyard situated on the east facing slope of the Mount Camel Range, just south of the township of Colbinabbin on the northern tip of the Heathcote Wine Region. This range is renowned for its ancient Cambrian soils which consistently produce structured, inky black-purple fruits, robust structure, and great aging potential. This little patch seems quite special, a bright purple garnet appearance with a deep raspberry and plum nose that leaps from the glass, with complex liquorice, oak spice and pepper.
